Minutes of the meetings of the Trustees of the Capitol and State Hall, 1834-1861.

This series contains the official minutes of the meetings of the Trustees of the Capitol and State Hall. Each entry contains the date of the meeting, who attended, where the meeting was held, and what transpired. A heading over each entry identifies whether the Trustees were meeting as Trustees of the State Capitol, the Old State Hall, or the New State Hall. The minutes themselves discuss: plans for the constitution, repair and maintenance of State buildings, and disposition of funds for these purposes; the appointment of officials and the hiring of workers for the maintenance, repair, and construction of State buildings; the performance of building superintendents and other officials appointed by the Trustees; and the assignments of facilities to various officials and state agencies.
